This week, Mrs Lyford came to visit our class. She read us the book One. One is a story about standing up to bullies. The characters are colors. Ask your child what she/he learned from Red and Blue.
TechnologyDuring Technology time we have begun to combine our science study of Space with our unit on non-fiction writing. The students are working in collaborative teams to create books all about space. We will be using the Story-Visualizer app to create this texts.
Report Cards
Report cards for the first half of the year were mailed by the main office today. If you do not receive your child's report card or if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Book Orders
Book orders were sent home today. They are due Friday, February 3rd. As always, you may order on-line or send in the paper order. If you use the paper order, please make checks payable to Scholastic.
Valentine's Day
We will be having a small celebration of friendship on February 14th. Students are not required to exchange cards. If your child decides to bring cards for the exchange, please be sure that he/she has one for each member of the class. I will send home a class list early next week.
Good-bye
On Friday, we held a small celebration to say good-bye to Leo. He and his family have moved to Chelsea. We wish them all the best in their new community.
