On Thursday, February 2nd we will be celebrating the 100th day of school. It will be a day full of fun activities related to the number 100. There will be math activities, of course, but there will also literacy activities. In preparation for 100 Day, each child will be sent home with a gallon sized bag to create a collection of 100 items. The items should fit in the bag and be ones that can stay at school for a few days. Collections can be sent in to school any time next week.
100 Item Snack Mix
On Thursday we will also be creating a special snack mix. Each child will create his/her own unique recipe containing 100 items. If you are able to donate to the snack mix, please send in a box or bag of snack ingredients. I'd like to have enough items that the students can choose items they like. Ideally, their mixes will contain 10 ingredients each. Some ideas for ingredients include: raisins, pretzels, snack crackers, mini-marshmallows, chocolate chips, cereal, gold fish.
