Weekly Wrap-up, September 28th

Big Buddies

This year our class will be buddies with Ms. Gallagher's third grade class.  We will typically join together one Friday afternoon each month.   The intent of these pairings is to increase the students' connections across grade levels and to work on problem solving skills.  Our first session was this week.  We gathered in the gym, met our buddies and the big buddies read to our class.     

PE Lab

On Wednesday, October 10th, our class will be travelling to the Millstone in Barre for our first PE lab.  This is a fabulous opportunity for the class to engage in outdoor learning.  We will be rock climbing, using a slack line and other activities.  PE Labs are half-day experiences.  We will leave the school at about 9:00 AM and return at about 12:30.  In order for us to have this experience, we must have chaperones and drivers.  A permission slip was sent home in your child's folder.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Blanchard or me.  

School Hike

We had a very successful All School Hike on Thursday.  A huge thank you to all the family members that joined us for this annual event.  I know the group that I hiked with had a wonderful time and were definitely tired by the time we made it back to the bus.
