Parent Conferences
The spring parent conferences are student led conferences. This means that your child will be leading the conference and explaining his/her progress and goals to you. We are working together prepare for the conference. If you have not returned your request for a time slot, please do so as soon as possible. I will be sending out time confirmations later this weekend. If your scheduled time no longer works for you, please let me know and we can schedule an alternate time. The conferences are an opportunity for the students to practice their communication skills.
Red Cross Fundraiser
PBIS Celebration
On Friday, the students challenged each other to finish filling our chip bucket before snack time. They all agreed to try and I agreed to a "bigger" celebration if they accomplished this goal. It required the entire class to earn about 30 chips in 40 minutes. They did it and were so proud of themselves! This was our 29th chip bucket. Our goal for the year is 40 buckets.
On Monday we will be celebrating with Comfy, Cozy Day and lunch in the classroom with a special treat. Students that would like to bring a stuffy to school may also do so.
Sharing Days
Next week we will have an official sharing time as part of our day. Each child will be assigned one day approximately every 2 weeks. Sometimes I will assign a topic for sharing, other shares will be free choice. Please help your child to select appropriate items for sharing. It is not necessary to bring an item to school to share. Many interesting and exciting shares are "talk" shares. Unfortunately if a share is forgotten, we won't have time to make it up. Below is the schedule for the next two weeks of sharing. I will send home a calendar the month of April soon.
The topic is "Something Related to Spring".
