Reading to Others

We have been working on improving our reading fluency by attending to punctuation, reading with expression and scooping up words in phrases.  Early in the week, each student selected a winter or holiday book to "polish".  Throughout the week, everyone practiced their individual books.  Yesterday we had the opportunity to read to both kindergarten and preschool students.  The first graders were wonderful role models and quite proud of reading to "little kids".
